And it got Warm!

The weather has been absolutely amazing these days. We are in shorts and t-shirts just loving every minute of it. This week was great in that we had a 3 day work week. I quite appreciated how quickly the weekend came.
We went to Seoul via bus again and enjoyed a Canadian style breakfast at a place called Butterfingers. Seriously amazing the places you can find to eat in Seoul. You can pretty much get any food you are craving.

Chris played 2 bball games this past Saturday and his team won both of them so now they are
3-3. This pic is of him making a 3 pointer! We actually got to go on the American Army base for the past 2 weekends because that's where the games were. It's like a mini American city with all the same laws and rules. We appreciated the western atmosphere and eats.
We also checked out Insadong (touristy spot) and the Independance Memorial on Saturday. It was super busy as usual but so nice to be out and about exploring. It's fun to be bit of a tour guide for Chris since I have seen a lot in Seoul already.
In this pic he is pretending to be 'lost' trying to find the next spot we want to check out. Really though we wanted to capture the mass amounts of people sharing the street with us.
This next picture is from the Independance Park Memorial. Cant remember exactly what is significant about this monument but it's old and interesting. Korea got their independance from Japan in 1948. We hope to visit the War Museum soon and then actually give you more of a history about this date and what not.

Chris gets to start his actual job and contract this Monday as he has been working at my school for the past month. These are a few of the students from my elementary school. They are cute but their level of English is really low so it makes it challenging to teach. I am excited to have some progress thou so will have to wait a few months until I can report on that.
So we have found a church to be apart of. It's called Life Church and is in Suwon where we live. We are excited to meet more people and get connected in this way. The pastor shares a great message and there are some wonderful people here to meet and encourage.
Just a quick story:
So Chris and I were out with my co-teacher and her husband the other night walking thru this park. This Korean man approached Chris and asked to talk with him for a couple minutes.
So they chatted but it ended abruptly because Chris doesnt know who James Cameron is. Apparently this man is a huge fan of this famous movie director who happens to be Canadian.
Anyways the Korean man was obviously offended Chris didnt know James Cameron and that was the end of their conversation. Hmmm maybe it's not that funny writen down, you prolly had to be there. :) Well that's all for today~ blessings.
